I was named ASTA’s 2025 Travel Advisor of the Year
Here’s What That Means to Me:
I still can’t believe I’m typing this, but on May 21st, I was named Travel Advisor of the Year by ASTA (the American Society of Travel Advisors, who represent over 80% of all travel booked through and advisor in the United States!).
It’s a national award. A big one. And I’m still processing it one month later, honestly.
There’s something wild about being recognized for something you do behind the scenes every single day. For the emails you send at midnight. The rebooking you handle when someone’s flight gets canceled. The time you spend getting to know someone so deeply that you can plan a trip that feels like it was built just for them, because it was.
This award doesn’t just mean “good job.” It means that this work matters.
🧭 Why I Do This Work
I became a travel advisor because I believe travel should feel personal, exciting, and joyful, not stressful or overwhelming or like something you have to figure out alone.
And over the years, I’ve helped people celebrate honeymoons, retirements, solo milestones, and first-ever passports. I’ve guided people through complicated itineraries, last-minute emergencies, and moments of “I didn’t think I could do this.”
It’s more than booking. It’s transformation. It’s joy. It’s connection.
And I love every second of it, even the spreadsheets. (Okay, let’s be honest, I really love the spreadsheets.)
✨ What This Award Really Means
To be recognized by ASTA (the organization that represents 80% of all travel booked through advisors in the U.S.) is huge. It means:
My peers and industry leaders see the heart and effort I pour into this
The work I do behind the scenes isn’t invisible
The way I care for my clients and community makes a difference
But more than anything, it means I get to keep going.
It means that I get to keep building the kind of business I believe in, keep helping more people travel with confidence and clarity, and to keep pushing this industry forward—especially for women, for LGBTQ+ travelers, for people who didn’t grow up thinking “luxury travel” was for them.
